Creating an Install Drive

  1. Download Etcher for your current operating system
  2. Open Etcher
  3. Select the PureOS ISO file you downloaded
  4. Select the USB drive you want to turn into an install drive
  5. Click "Flash!"
  6. The USB drive is now an install drive!
  7. Follow the installation steps to install PureOS

Upgrade from Amber

  1. Replace "amber" with "byzantium" in /etc/apt/sources.list
    You should get the following : 
      deb https://repo.pureos.net/pureos byzantium main
  deb https://repo.pureos.net/pureos byzantium-updates main
  deb https://repo.pureos.net/pureos byzantium-security main
  2. Upgrade the system 
      sudo apt update
  sudo apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs
  sudo apt full-upgrade
  3. Reboot to the new system
